This weekend coincides with World Collage Day! It will be facilitated by Wend (Hope & Elvis) and fellow collage enthusiast Jenny Cross. It’s an opportunity to join other like minded collage lovers to experiment with different styles and approaches, mixing media and papers / materials. We’ll draw inspiration from published artists: books and examples will be available. Each day you will receive a pack of collage papers (a different pack depending on the day).

Day 1 – We will make paste papers and gelli plate prints (please being your gelli plate if you have one). You should take home a pile of new collage papers. 

Day 2 – We will use our papers to create our own collages. You may want to bring along your own ideas of what you’d like to create or let the fancy take you on the day.

A lightly guided workshop for beginners and experienced collagists, you’ll find inspiration both on the studio walls and the grounds of the Welbeck Estate.

All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and maybe your favourite collage scissors! You may also wish to incorporate your own papers, wrapping paper, wallpaper, etc. and some of your own collages to demonstrate your own favourite techniques.
