The Workshop
Students will receive a silk screened fabric showing a chair with sweater design. During this session they will break, cut, damage the cloth, playing a game led by Adriana. Then it will be time to fix!
Adriana will explain simple mending techniques before the game with more complexity afterwards. One of the techniques is the Brussels stitch that is not usually applied to mending but is one of Adriana’s favourite stitches and is perfect for repairing holes.
Participants will receive a printed fabric, yarn, needles and booklets. Feel free to bring any materials like yarn in colours you love and tiny scraps of fabric to make a more personal work.
Open for all skill levels including beginner stitchers. No previous knowledge is required.
Each student will mend according to their skill level.
