Workshop
Water soluble fabric is such a magical ingredient, allowing you to create intricate weaves, lace and grids from scraps of fabric and tangles of threads. You can also use it to create edgings, jewellery and sculptural vessels. It can be used to make stitches float over textural surfaces and best of all, it all looks so much more intricate and complicated than it really is!
We will be creating experimental samples but there will be plenty of suggestions for uses in dressmaking, up-cycling, interiors and art.
Please feel free to bring along your own sewing machine and any scrap fabrics/threads you would like to include. Jayne will also bring along her extensive materials archive for you to use.
£90 includes all materials & refreshments - please bring along lunch or alternatively visit one of the two Cafes on site as well as an award winning farm shop.
*due to the nature of this workshop your own sewing machine is advisable , however there is a small number of machines for you borrow by prior arrangement*
