Workshop

In this two-day workshop with Anne Kelly, you will be making a mid-century inspired wall-hanging. Using actual mid-century fabric or being influenced by images of the style and decoration of that time, you will start with some simple printing and stamping techniques. We will then start to plan your wall hanging, using applique, textile collage and a variety of stitch techniques that will add depth and texture to your piece.
Anne will guide you through these processes and help you on your journey from the narrative to the abstract, using references from her new book ‘Abstract Textiles’.
