Repair & Disrepair with Hannah Lamb – 10th & 11th July 2027

Take inspiration from the effects of wear and decay on historical textiles in this two day workshop. We will explore how to create distressed surfaces and mended effects for textile art. Techniques explored include devoré, surface darning and patching, all with a focus on decorative rather than functional outcomes. You will take away a series of textile samples and the knowledge to apply the ideas to your own projects.

Hannah Lamb is a textile artist, lecturer and author, based at her home studio in Bingley, West Yorkshire. She works with a range of textile processes, including stitch, print and fabric manipulation, creating textile artworks from an intimate scale to larger installation works.

Suitable for all, although some experience of hand stitch is recommended.
